The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) Combined Lower Subordinate Services Exam, commonly known as UPSSSC Lower PCS, recruits for executive state government posts including Supply Inspector, Marketing Inspector, Executive Officer (Nagar Panchayat), Assistant Consolidation Officer (ACO), and Senior/Junior Assistant.

Lower PCS Selection Stages

The recruitment is carried out in two competitive written stages followed by Document Verification. There is no personal interview:

3. General Hindi (50 Marks in Prelims)

General Hindi in Lower PCS tests functional command over official state language rules:

• Sandhi (संधि एवं विच्छेद), Samas (समास), Vilom (विलोम शब्द), Paryayvachi (पर्यायवाची शब्द).
• Tatsam and Tadbhav (तत्सम एवं तद्भव शब्द), Idioms and Proverbs (मुहावरे एवं लोकोक्तियां).
• Official and semi-official letter writing concepts (शासकीय एवं अर्धशासकीय पत्र शब्दावली).
